The Seven Chakras and Reiki

The major Chakras not only control and energise the vital organs of the body but also control and affect a person's psychological and spiritual conditions. An imbalance or malfunctioning of any of these chakras causes various disorders. The higher chakra controls the one lower to it starting from the root chakra. Through Reiki one can balance the imbalances of chakras and also attain the highest spiritual levels.


"Chakra" or a "wheel" is a spinning vertex of energy in the human energy field or aura that works as an energy accumulator and pump. The seven major chakras or windows through which we perceive reality exist in the human energy field or aura. The major chakras correspond to the endocrine system of the physical body and nerve plexuses (ganglia). Some of these Chakras are located at the sites of major organs or systems.

The major Chakras not only control and energise the vital organs of the body but also control and affect a person's psychological and spiritual conditions. An imbalance or malfunctioning of any of these chakras causes various disorders. The higher chakra controls the one lower to it starting from the root chakra.

Through Reiki we can balance the imbalances of chakras and also attain the highest spiritual levels. One can connect to the highest chakra levels, that is the 752nd level.

Basic Chakra or Muladhara
This is also known as the 'Root Chakra' and is located at the spine or the coccyx area. It has four petals and contains red and orange pranas. It also contains a very minute amount of unnoticeable yellow prana. The red prana from the basic chakra is used for energising and strengthening the entire visible physical body. Muladhara is the root and foundation on the basis of which the whole body and present existence stands. It is concerned with the fundamental survival and maintaining the health of the body.

The basic chakra controls and energises the following:

  • Muscular and skeletal systems
  • The spine
  • Production and the quality of blood produced
  • The adrenal glands
  • The tissues of the body and the internal organs
  • Growth rate of cells
  • Growth rate of children
  • General vitality
  • Body heat
  • Chakra also affects the heart and the s*x organs
Malfunctioning of this chakra may manifest as:
  • Arthritis and rheumatism
  • Spinal problems
  • Blood ailments and allergy
  • Slow healing of wounds and broken bones
  • Growth problems
  • Cancer and leukaemia
  • Low vitality
  • Heart ailments
  • Brain ailments
  • S*x**l aliments
