Diseases of the Older Women

Women and men age differently. Part of women’s advantage with respect to life expectancy is biological. They seem to be more resilient than men at all ages, but particularly during early infancy. In adult life too, women may have a biological advantage, at least until menopause, as hormones protect them from ischaemic heart disease, for example. Currently, female life expectancy at birth ranges from just over 50 in the least developed countries to well over 80 in many developed countries, where the typical female advantage in life expectancy ranges from five to eight years. As a result, the oldest old in most parts of the world are predominantly women. [More]

Welcome to Homoeopathy For All

"The highest ideal of therapy is to restore health rapidly, gently, permanently and to remove and destroy the whole disease in the shortest, surest, least harmful way, according to clearly comprehensible principles." These words by Samuel Hahnemann form the basis of the science of homoeopathy. A tribute to Dr. Hahnemann, Homoeopathy for All - the complete homoeopathic and alternative medicine monthly was launched in the year 1999. The magazine is aimed at varied sections: you and me — anybody interested in this science, homoeopathic practitioners, and practitioners of other alternative sciences, students and pharmacists. Homoeopathy is a complete system of medicine which aims at promoting general health by reinforcing body's own natural health capacity. The remedy used to treat sick people is actually capable of producing similar symptoms in a healthy person, to those present in the patient needing the remedy. Homoeopathy forms a holistic approach to health; it aids the body's abilities to heal itself by improving the immune system of the body.
